What We Clean
Every clean includes a full vacuum, stain pre-treatment, a hot water extraction clean and deodorising where it's needed. These are the jobs we're asked to do most often.
Old Couches Can Come Up Well
Before you replace a couch, it's worth seeing what a clean does. A customer with an older couch that had "lots of stains and dogs lounging on it" told us it came up near new. Another woke up the morning after our visit to find the couch "spotless" and smelling great.

How We Clean Your Couch
- Check the fabric and cleaning code. The code on the tag tells us whether the fabric can take water. We test a hidden spot for colour run.
- Vacuum everything. Cushions come off, and we vacuum the frame, the crevices and both sides of each cushion to lift crumbs, grit and hair.
- Pre-treat stains and the grubby areas. Arms, headrests and seat fronts get a product that breaks down body oils. Spills and pet accidents are treated separately.
- Hot water extraction. Hot water goes into the fabric under pressure, and the vacuum draws it, and the dirt, back out before it can soak in.
- Sanitise and deodorise where there's pet odour or a stale smell.
- Groom and dry. We brush the fabric so it dries evenly, and leave the couch damp to the touch. A fan and an open window speed things up.
What the Cleaning Code on Your Couch Means
Most couches carry a cleaning code on the tag under a seat cushion or along the base. It tells us which method the fabric can handle.

How much does couch cleaning cost?
The price depends on the size of the couch, the number of seats and loose cushions, and how much stain treatment it needs. Tell us everything you'd like done in the one visit. How long does a couch take to dry?
Allow up to 24 hours, depending on the fabric, the thickness of the cushions, airflow and the weather. Opening windows and running a fan helps. Keep pets off it and avoid sitting on it in dark clothes until it's dry.
Do you clean leather couches?
No. We clean fabric couches, lounge suites, modulars, sofa beds and ottomans. Leather and faux leather need a leather specialist.
Will all the stains come out?
Most everyday marks come out completely. Stains that have been there a long time, or that have been treated with the wrong product, can leave a trace. We'll tell you before we start if we think a mark won't lift fully.
Is the clean safe for kids and pets?
Yes. We use products that are safe for children and pets, and we rinse them out of the fabric as we clean. Keep everyone off the couch until it's dry so nothing gets transferred back onto the damp fabric.
How often should a couch be cleaned?
Once a year suits most households. Homes with dogs, cats or young children often book every 6 to 12 months, and many customers have the couch done at the same time as their carpets.
